Balance & top-ups

Top up

After signing in, choose an amount and payment method on the Recharge / Subscription page. Once the payment clears you can call models right away, and usage is deducted from your balance in real time.

There is no platform fee on top-ups: the full amount goes to your balance, and calls are charged by actual token usage. If a payment method has its own processing fee, it is shown on the payment page. See Pricing modes.

Redeem codes

If you have a redeem code, enter it on the Redeem page to convert it into balance or a subscription.

Subscription plans

Some sites offer subscription plans with a fixed daily / weekly / monthly allowance for the plan period; usage stops when the allowance is used up or the plan expires. A subscription maps to a dedicated group — create an API key in that group to spend the subscription allowance.

Running out of balance

When your balance is too low, requests return 403 INSUFFICIENT_BALANCE. You can enable balance alerts in your profile to get an email when the balance drops below a threshold.

Per-key limits

Besides the account balance, each API key can have its own:

Total quota: the most this key may ever spend; Window limits: spend caps for 5-hour, 1-day and 7-day windows; Expiry date: after which the key stops working.

This makes it easy to hand keys to teammates or projects and control each one's cost.
